Area Director presents five awards to the Newcastle Toastmasters Club

Janelle Crawley, Area Director for Toastmasters Clubs in Merewether and Charlestown, represented Toastmasters District 90 in presenting five awards to all members of the Newcastle Toastmasters Club on Thursday, 7th September, 2023.

Comedian and trainer Damien Challen led a workshop for all attendees at the celebration meeting. Dave Anderson chaired the meeting.

Crawley presented the ribbons to the Club Executive Committee: Melanie Suzanne Wilson, Jemma Skewes, Dr Harold Kingston Pradhan, Andrew Patey-Dennis, Joseph Nolan and Dennis Fryer.

Melanie Suzanne Wilson, Club President, received the ribbons on behalf of the club at the District 90 Awards Celebration in Penrith on Saturday, 2nd September, 2023. Crawley hosted a local ceremony, bringing the ribbons to local members.

The awards included recognition of the Club Success Plan and Distinguished Club Program completion in 2022-2023. One of the club’s awards is named after Bob Kirchner OAM.

The Newcastle Toastmasters Club has developed communication and leadership skills in The Hunter since 1966.
