A close-knit diverse Christmas Party for 2022

The Newcastle Toastmasters Club celebrated Christmas and the end of year at a dinner in Souths Merewether on Thursday 8th December 2022.

The club welcomed special guests: Michael Said, Region Advisor, and Gary Wilson OAM, Past International Director. 

Daniel Pascoe, Area 15 Director and incoming Club President, was the MC for the evening. He spoke and led trivia. Jemma Skewes, incoming Vice President of Education, presented a speech about how Toastmasters changed her life and improved her career. Michael Said spoke and encouraged members to bring their friends into the club. Melanie Suzanne Wilson, Vice President of Public Relations, addressed the audience about our journey so far and creativity for the upcoming year. Peter Cross, a club member, became Santa Claus and gave presents to all guests.

Attendees enjoyed abundant Chinese food thanks to the kind chef and servers of the Lion's Fortune Bistro. The venue catered for all dietary requirements.
